1. Purpose
This page provides general disclosures regarding Vehicle Service Contracts (VSCs) and related vehicle protection programs offered through RMG Global Inc. affiliates, including the Drive Pro program. These disclosures are summary in nature. The terms, conditions, exclusions, and obligations governing any VSC are set forth in the applicable contract, administrator documents, and state-required disclosures provided at the time of sale.
2. What Is a Vehicle Service Contract?
A Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) is a contractual agreement that may provide repair or replacement coverage for specified vehicle components beyond the manufacturer’s warranty period, subject to the terms and exclusions of the contract. VSCs are not insurance policies unless expressly stated and regulated as such in your state.
3. Drive Pro Program Overview
Drive Pro is an automated dealership program integrated with dealer management systems (DMS) that facilitates parts and labor warranty coverage for qualifying repairs. Key program characteristics may include:
- DMS-integrated workflow with minimal manual processing
- Coverage for specified components such as brakes and batteries, subject to contract terms
- Customer-funded program structure with $0 dealership cost for program enrollment, as described in program materials
- Labor markup mechanics as disclosed in dealer agreements
Actual coverage, pricing, and eligibility vary by contract, vehicle, and state requirements.
4. Exclusions and Limitations
VSCs typically exclude coverage for, among other things:
- Pre-existing conditions or known defects at time of contract issuance
- Damage resulting from accident, abuse, misuse, or lack of maintenance
- Wear-and-tear items not specifically covered under the contract
- Modifications or aftermarket alterations not approved under program guidelines
- Components covered by manufacturer warranty or recall remedies
Refer to your specific contract for a complete list of exclusions and limitations.
5. Obligations of the Consumer
Consumers may be required to:
- Maintain the vehicle in accordance with manufacturer recommendations
- Obtain authorized repairs through approved facilities when required
- Pay applicable deductibles, if any, as stated in the contract
- Provide accurate vehicle and ownership information at enrollment
Failure to comply with contract obligations may result in denial of coverage.
6. Cancellation and Refund Rights
Cancellation and refund rights vary by state law and contract terms. Some states require specific cancellation periods and refund calculations. Consumers should review their contract and state-required disclosures for applicable cancellation rights.
7. Claims Process
Claims must be submitted in accordance with the procedures specified in the contract and administrator guidelines. Required documentation may include repair orders, maintenance records, and diagnostic reports. Unauthorized repairs may not be eligible for reimbursement.
8. Regulatory Status
VSC products may be regulated differently depending on the state and the entity administering the contract. The administering entity and applicable license or registration information are disclosed in program documents and point-of-sale materials as required by law.
